New Years Reflection

2011 has now passed and I am entering into 2012 with a fiance, no more schooling and a sweet job as a youth worker. Life is Great. How did I get to this point well all the credit has to go to Jesus Christ as he is the author and perfecter of my life. This past year I have been learning more and more to make him the center of my life.

Over this past year I graduated from College as you can read in my last post. Since then a close friend and coworker of mine named Leanne Plouffe started dating about a month or so after I wrote that post actually. So much for posting about the important things in my life eh. Any way Leanne and I started dating in June near her birthday. Our First date was a beautiful time together from Lunch in the tree tops, to walking around the lake, eating ice cream and listening to a concert and ending of with a dance on a grid road beside a flooded field that looked like a lake as the sun set to the west of us and a thunder storm rolled through the north. God has been orchestrating our lives together for so long we just had to wait for the right moments.

After a few long dates and about six months later. God presented us with another wonderful scene on top of Table mountain in Banff Alberta. Over looking a valley and a mountain range on the far side. I asked Leanne if she would like to be "Young" forever, that she would marry me. She said yes and we have been preparing for marriage together as well as the wedding day. I am excited about that.

I now exit 2011 after helping to put on Voltage New Years eve party this year was probably the best year yet. I am so thankful for the numerous people that helped out and that again God brought the Body of believers to work together to put on an amazing new years eve party for about 400 youth.

I now enter 2012 with many adventures to come. It will not be an easy year but I know that Jesus will bring me through it again and I am excited to see where he leads Leanne and I as we prepare for life and ministry together.
